Synopsis: A lonely librarian looks forward to a visit every evening by Buddy the cat, who keeps him company, as wandering cats sometimes do.  Noel confesses his loneliness to Buddy, and when he awkwardly meets Mike, he has some hopes that he’ll have more companionship than just an itinerant cat.

Review: A very cute cat story, but it does little else for me.  Noel is sympathetic, Buddy the cat is sweet, and Mike comes across a bit (probably appropriately) strange. Not much substance, but a sweet exploration of a lonely man enjoying the company of a cat, and of lonely men working up the courage to contact each other.

Recommended for: cat lovers

Heat:  fire – a real kiss and a nice fade to black
Passion: heart heart – very sweet connection (and higher if you have a soft spot for cats)
Genre:  Romance
